Dr Ragini Sahai is a well-known social scientist who has dedicated her career to gender studies. With over two decades of experience in research, teaching, and development, she holds a Master's in Sociology and an M.Phil., PhD in Social Anthropology from the University of Delhi.

One of her most significant achievements has been her involvement in managing and implementing the World Bank/IFAD-supported projects on Rural Women's Development & Empowerment Project in fifteen states of India. Through her work, she has significantly contributed to the empowerment of rural women and promoting gender equality in India.

Dr Sahai's work has taken her across various states and districts of India, where she has gained knowledge of grassroots development and program implementation in rural and tribal areas. In particular, she has extensive experience working with marginalised populations in Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gujarat, Chhatisgarh and Karnataka.

She is also a prolific writer, having published eight monographs, policy papers, and reports and twenty-five research articles in various national and international journals. Her work has made a significant contribution to the field of gender studies, and she is highly respected in academic circles.

She is not only a distinguished social scientist but also a proficient teacher. She has been mentoring students for over two decades and has directed research, projects, and internships. She advises students on career paths, degree requirements, and post-graduate education options. She has also played a significant role in managing curricular development and modernizing teaching strategies by incorporating new technologies for learning and grading. She creates lesson strategies for courses and modifies them throughout the year to meet time constraints and the specific interests of the class. She fosters a healthy and safe learning environment for students by setting and enforcing the classroom code of conduct.
